"I wear my sunglasses..."

These pictures just crack me up! Riley is just now getting to the point that he'll wear sunglasses although they don't usually stay on very long.

Fun at the Park

We are so glad that it's nice enough outside to take Riley to the park. He loves the freedom of running around.

Water Time

Riley LOVES his water table that we bought him. After playing with it for one hour, we had to drag him inside kicking and screaming. He was soaking wet where he had poured water all over himself.

Easter

We thought Riley would like the little plastic eggs that are so prevalent at Easter. When given the option of easter eggs or golf balls AND considering he IS a Sproles, which do you think he chose? Of course, pictures don't lie.

Baby Jacob Quade

I was so lucky to be able to visit my cousin, Rhonda, and her husband, Bill, in Asheville only a week and a half after the birth of their son, Jacob. I am very glad that everyone is doing well. Jacob is up to 5 lbs 6 ozs as of the latest count. He is such a cutie!!! Congrats Rhonda & Bill!

Ultrasound...

Yes, I know that I told many people that I would have ultrasound pictures up by now, but it hasn't happened. Riley and I are in Kingsport this week and the pictures are at home. SOOOOO, I hope to post them next week. By the way, we are having a GIRL!
I am heading to Asheville tomorrow to visit my cousin and her almost 2 week old baby. I can't wait!!! Pictures will come!!!

I Just Don't Get It!!!

Riley spends alot of time each day looking through books on his own. There is one particular book, "My Two Hands, My Two Feet" that frustrates him. He will begin flipping through the book and half way through it, the story starts over from the other side (upside down). All of his other books have stories that begin and end in the same direction. Sometimes he will get so frustrated at the book that he'll toss it aside. It is so funny to watch.

Catching Up

Yes, I know. I have been extremely slow at updating the blog. I'll blame it on being pregnant. I'm feeling ok...still having morning sickness at 16 weeks. I thought it would be gone by now, but noooooooooooooooooooo.

Riley is doing well. Grandma and grandpa Sproles came to visit a couple of weekends ago. Riley loves having company.

Just Having Fun

Mamaw Harris was here for a visit last week. As soon as she sits down on the couch, Riley loves to get right up next to her. He also loves to clap over his head.

Birthday Party Fun

A couple of weeks ago, we went to a birthday party for Jake (from the mommy group). Jake just turned ONE and had a fun party at Jumpity Jump. The inflatables were a little overwhelming to Riley. He actually cried when Andy took him inside one. But as soon as he was outside of the inflatable, he had a blast just running around. I don't know how he had ANY energy after running a solid hour.

Wonderful News

As most of you already know, Andy and I are expecting baby #2 around Aug 3. We are very excited to be blessed with another child. I am currently 12 weeks into the pregnancy and starting to feel a little better...yes, I have definitely struggled with morning sickness. I think it has been worse the second time around. But I know in the end it will be worth it.

18 Month Checkup

Yesterday, I took Riley to the doctor for his 18 month checkup. Everything went very well. Riley even stood up on the big boy scales all by himself! He weighs 28 lbs and is 33 1/2 inches tall. The best news of all is that he is off all acid reflux medicine!!! He seems to be doing so well without it.

Kickin' Back

Before bed each night, Riley likes to drink some milk. Of course, he loves doing so while kickin' back in his recliner.

Christmas 2007

We had a wonderful Christmas. Most of it was spent in Kingsport. Riley had a blast hanging out with all the family. He loves all his new toys that he received for Christmas. I think one of his favorites is the new tricycle that uncle Brad got him. He smiles everytime he gets on it.

Early Christmas Present

We decided to let Riley have one of his Christmas presents early. We learned very quickly that Riley does not like Christmas paper. After I had opened the paper far enough where he could see inside, he did everything in his ability to play with the item without touching one inch of the wrapping. Once we got it out of the wrapping paper, he had so much fun with the crocodile xylophone. I figured he was hinting around for a toy like this since he is constantly banging on our real piano!
