I Just Don't Get It!!!

Riley spends alot of time each day looking through books on his own. There is one particular book, "My Two Hands, My Two Feet" that frustrates him. He will begin flipping through the book and half way through it, the story starts over from the other side (upside down). All of his other books have stories that begin and end in the same direction. Sometimes he will get so frustrated at the book that he'll toss it aside. It is so funny to watch.

Catching Up

Yes, I know. I have been extremely slow at updating the blog. I'll blame it on being pregnant. I'm feeling ok...still having morning sickness at 16 weeks. I thought it would be gone by now, but noooooooooooooooooooo.

Riley is doing well. Grandma and grandpa Sproles came to visit a couple of weekends ago. Riley loves having company.

Just Having Fun

Mamaw Harris was here for a visit last week. As soon as she sits down on the couch, Riley loves to get right up next to her. He also loves to clap over his head.

Birthday Party Fun

A couple of weeks ago, we went to a birthday party for Jake (from the mommy group). Jake just turned ONE and had a fun party at Jumpity Jump. The inflatables were a little overwhelming to Riley. He actually cried when Andy took him inside one. But as soon as he was outside of the inflatable, he had a blast just running around. I don't know how he had ANY energy after running a solid hour.

Wonderful News

As most of you already know, Andy and I are expecting baby #2 around Aug 3. We are very excited to be blessed with another child. I am currently 12 weeks into the pregnancy and starting to feel a little better...yes, I have definitely struggled with morning sickness. I think it has been worse the second time around. But I know in the end it will be worth it.

18 Month Checkup

Yesterday, I took Riley to the doctor for his 18 month checkup. Everything went very well. Riley even stood up on the big boy scales all by himself! He weighs 28 lbs and is 33 1/2 inches tall. The best news of all is that he is off all acid reflux medicine!!! He seems to be doing so well without it.

Kickin' Back

Before bed each night, Riley likes to drink some milk. Of course, he loves doing so while kickin' back in his recliner.

Christmas 2007

We had a wonderful Christmas. Most of it was spent in Kingsport. Riley had a blast hanging out with all the family. He loves all his new toys that he received for Christmas. I think one of his favorites is the new tricycle that uncle Brad got him. He smiles everytime he gets on it.

Early Christmas Present

We decided to let Riley have one of his Christmas presents early. We learned very quickly that Riley does not like Christmas paper. After I had opened the paper far enough where he could see inside, he did everything in his ability to play with the item without touching one inch of the wrapping. Once we got it out of the wrapping paper, he had so much fun with the crocodile xylophone. I figured he was hinting around for a toy like this since he is constantly banging on our real piano!

Crazy Weather

We have had the craziest weather lately. This past Friday, it was really cold...as you can see, Riley had to bundle up. Today's high is supposed to be 76. Time to pull out the short-sleeve shirts!

Playing & Relaxing

Riley loves to go to the play center at the mall. At first, I thought his favorite thing to do was climb through the tunnel. THEN, he found the book section. If he could spend every waking moment looking at books, he would.

After a hard day, Riley likes to get in his new recliner to relax. Thanks grandma and grandpa Sproles for the new chair!

Family Time

Thanksgiving was wonderful as usual. We all stuffed ourselves silly. On Thanksgiving Day, we all ate at the Harris house. Friday was the low country boil meal at the Sproles'. Saturday, we went to the Sproles' family get together at Rush Street. Riley loved running around the entire restaurant and checking out the waitresses. Then on Sunday, we went to my great aunt's birthday party. Of course, I didn't get pictures of all the events, but here are a few:

Riley LOVES to snuggle. That is, of course, when he is not looking at his favorite books or running around outside.

More Fun in Kingsport

Riley is really starting to enjoy the new playground at Warriors. I think his favorite part was throwing, oh I mean playing in the sand. He also liked my brother's camouflaged hat.

Halloween

Riley had a "super" Halloween. Yes, he was Superman. I think his favorite part besides running around the yard was going over to visit our next door neighbors. He loves their dog because unlike Tigger (our cat), Riley can actually pet him.

Birthday Party Fun at the Zoo

We were invited to another wonderful birthday party. Alanna (Arlene's daughter from my mommies' group) just turned one!!! Her party was at the zoo and we had a great time. Thanks for inviting us!!! I apologize that I didn't get pictures of all the kiddies :(
